Donald Andrews
Donald W. Andrews, 91, of Wapakoneta, died 8:27 p.m., Sat. March 4, 2017, at Auglaize Acres.
He was born May 25, 1925, in Celina, OH, the son of Carl H. & Elsie L. (Barker) Andrews, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 23, 1960, he married Doris Collins, and she died Sept. 8, 1997.
Survivors include, 2 sons, David & Teri Andrews, Micanopy, FL, Bill & Connie Andrews, Lima, OH, 6 grandchildren, Lindsay, Jason, Mike, Josh, Dixie, & Donnie, 7 great grandchildren, a sister, Jean Amstutz, Flint, MI, & caregiver, Connie Binkley, Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Andrews.
Don was a farmer in his younger years. He later worked as a mechanical engineer at Cummins Diesel, Columbus, IN, and an auto mechanic instructor at Northwestern Business College, Lima.
Don also served as an evangelistic minister. He did visitations at local hospitals and participated in the Truck Stop Ministry in Ocala, Florida.
He was a 1944 graduate of Celina High School and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wed. March 8, 2017, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave., (St. Rt. 501), Wapakoneta, Rev. Steven Nelson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, OH.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tues. at the funeral home.
