Irma McKirnan
Irma McKirnan, age 97 of Celina, Ohio passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at her residence in Celina.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1920 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late John & Amy (Fox) Quilling. On Sept. 13, 1941 she married Patrick O'Neil McKirnan in Mendon, Ohio. Pat passed away on Feb. 25, 2004.
Survivors include her two sons and daughter-in-law Dr. Mitchell "Dan" McKirnan of San Diego, CA, Michael Patrick and Sharon McKirnan of Celina, three grandchildren Melissa and Brad Searight, Michelle and Rodger Harris, Tod and Tiffany McKirnan and eight great grandchildren.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her siblings Lewis "Bud" and Florreta Quilling, Lowell "Frizby" and Mickey Quilling, Arline and Prentis Tomlinson, and Helen Hays.
Irma and her husband Pat along with father-in-law Daniel J. operated the Coffee Shop in Celina for 47 years.
Irma was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, a member of the Celina Chapter #91 Order of Eastern Stars and the Mercer County Sportsmen's Association. She loved her Saturday shopping trips with the ladies and enjoyed a monthly 500 card club.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday March 25, 2017 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Matt Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and a hour before her funeral service on Saturday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer County Sportsmen's Association.
