Turkeys visit lake

Two wild male turkeys stretch their wings Tuesday while strolling along Grand Lake near the Mercer & Auglaize Counties Convention and Visitors Bureau. Jeni Bertke, CVB office manager, said the Toms showed up shortly before noon on Tuesday near the St. Marys Boat Club before making their way past the CVB office. Bertke said the curious birds looked through the windows at people inside the CVB office and also gobbled when people made turkey calls at them.
