Firefighters on Wednesday afternoon put out a small fire at Brookside Wood Products on U.S. 127 near Maria Stein. The cause is still being investigated, St. Henry Assistant Fire Chief Darin Lefeld said this morning. The fire was called in by a manager, who said he saw smoke in bins holding wood materials. No injuries or property damage was reported, Lefeld said. Employees were back at work as soon as the fire crews left, he added.
