Amanda Homan
Amanda E. Homan, 38, Fairborn, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, May 24, 2017 at Soin Medical Center.
She was born in Springfield on May 11, 1979, the daughter of Steven E. and Penny A. (Burger) Woods.
Amanda was a 1997 graduate of Northeastern High School where she was a majorette in the marching band and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Vocal and Theater Performance from the University of Toledo. Amanda participated in several community theater productions in Toledo and with the Springfield Arts Council. Her greatest joy in life was in being a mother. She was an active volunteer at her children's school, St. Brigid School, Xenia.
She is survived by her husband, Brent A. Homan; three children, Madelyn, Aaden and Bentley; a sister, Emily (Phillip) Whetstone of Springfield; and aunts, Vicki (Edward) Montgomery and Judy Rose. Also surviving is Brent's family: his parents, Marvin and Geri Homan; sisters, Andrea (Brad) Buening and Amy Homan; brothers, Kyle (Abbie) Homan and Adam Homan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1990 and mother, Penny A. Crist on March 31, 2017.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home. Amanda's funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Bucky Meadows officiating. A private interment will take place in Ferncliff Cemetery.
