Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

Daniel Young
Daniel Dean Young, 50, of Ft. Wayne, IN. and formerly of Mendon, passed away at 6:15 AM Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Greystone Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Wayne following a two month battle with cancer.
He was born January 2, 1967 in Celina, the son of Daniel Dean and Carolyn Ann Coffman Young, who are deceased.
Surviving are his long time companion; Thomas Cook of Ft. Wayne; his siblings; Cindy (Snyder) Luedeke and Vickie (Jay)( Snyder) Jeffries, both of Celina; Victor Snyder of Michigan; Pamela Snyder of Celina; Mary (Dan)(Young) Snyder of Spencerville and Anna Young of Texas; multiple aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews and his special "Furr" friends, Sophie and Bella.
He was preceded in death by three nieces/nephews.
Dan was a 1986 graduate of Parkway High School. He took great pride and was devoted to his work as a supervisor the past 15 years for the Utility Partners of America, for whom he traveled the U.S. installing natural gas equipment. He was greatly loved and respected by his work crews.
He was awarded the Red Cross "Distinction" for donating multiple gallons of his rare blood type.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Rev. Rob Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mendon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ft. Wayne Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
