Mya Henschen
Early in the morning on 8-6-2017 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH our sweet little baby girl Mya Ann Henschen "beloved" went home to be with our loving Lord.
Though our hearts our broken and tears will fall, we rejoice for Mya and celebrate her life. Mya was such a happy and good baby. She was a strong little fighter all the way to the end. Mya's miracle may not have turned out the way we wanted, but God knew what was best for her and that was always our prayer.
We thank God for lending Mya to us for her two precious months of life in which she stole our hearts. We find comfort and peace knowing Mya is in your loving arms. Daddy, Mommy, and Ty love you sweet baby girl. We will see you again and what a glorious day that will be!
Mya was born on 6-3-2017 at 11:22 am at OSU with Hypoplastic Left Heart syndrome. Mya was recovering from the second of four open heart surgeries that were planned for her.
She is the daughter of Tyler & Jill Henschen of New Knoxville, OH. She is survived by both parents and her brother Ty Henschen. Paternal grandparents Tom & Marlene Henschen of New Knoxville, OH; maternal grandparents Brian & Maggie Walters of Lima, OH; and two great grandmothers Sharon Kruse and Mary Kinzer. Mya has many aunts, uncles, and cousins by whom she was loved; Tina, Nick, Brynn, Landon, & Carter Gilbert. John, Abby, & Hayden Walters. Kelly, Nick, & Leah Schoenlein. Mark Walters. Beth, Devin, & Mason Swygart. Lori and Sam Swygart. Kati Walters.
Mya enjoyed cooing and smiling at us and her elephant. Mya has touched all of our hearts and many others who have been praying for her and following her journey. We thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. Mya's journey will continue on through all of us who have been touched by her life.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 11, 2017, at Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen, Ohio, Pastor Trent Fledderjohann, officiant. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call Thursday from 3 pm to 8 pm also at Faith Alliance Church.
