Betty Heuing
Betty M. Heuing, age 95, of St. Henry and formerly of St. Wendelin, died on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Celina Manor.
She was born June 7, 1922 in St. Wendelin to the late Henry & Odelia (Roeckner) Heuing.
Betty was the last living member of her family. She was preceded in death by her sisters and their husbands, Viola & Ed Lefeld and Irene & Red Fullenkamp.
Betty is survived by 10 nieces and nephews: Ed Lefeld of Columbus, Alberta & Larry Behr of Ft. Loramie, Phyllis Krieg of North Star, Donna & Francis Grieshop of Chickasaw, Al & Linda Lefeld of Coldwater, Paul & Candi Fullenkamp of Kettering, Jean & Hubert Homan of Coldwater, Mark & Kathy Fullenkamp of St. Henry, Kevin & Shirley Fullenkamp of St. Henry, and Ruth & Ed Hackworth of Dublin.
She is also preceded in death by niece and nephews, Pat & Dale Winner, and John Kreig.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, the Altar Rosary Sodality at St. Henry and the Daughters of Isabella of Ft. Recovery.
Betty was a graduate of Ft. Recovery High School, Class of 1940. After graduating Betty worked for Reynolds and Reynolds, Pax, and the American Red Cross in Celina.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, reading, bowling, and shopping. She took pleasure in preparing for the holidays, especially Christmas; with Betty the gifts never stopped.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Burial will follow at the St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
