Mary Ann Sturwold
Mary Ann Sturwold age 81 of Fort Loramie died at 3:20 AM on October 3, 2017 at Versailles Health Care.
She was born on March 7, 1936 in Fort Loramie to the late John & Mary (Barhorst) Barlage. She married Ralph Sturwold on a hot summer day June 23, 1956 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie and he survives in Fort Loramie.
She is also survived by children: Thomas & Jacqueline Wooddell-Sturwold, Prospect, KY, Karen Kuntz-Sturwold, Beavercreek, Mark & Debbie Sturwold, Sidney, 4 grandchildren Denise (Kuntz) & Taylor Lee, Brad Kuntz, Danielle Sturwold & Lindsey Sturwold, brothers & sister: Esther Schafer, Fort Loramie, Carl Barlage, Russia, Edward Barlage, Russia, sister-in-law Pat Barlage, Houston, in-laws Wilbur Sturwold, Fort Loramie, and John & Marlene Sturwold, Minster.
She was preceded in death by son Randy Sturwold, brothers Virgil & Mildred Barlage, Don Barlage, in-laws Joe Schafer, Rita Barlage, Jackie Barlage, Clarence & Helen Sturwold, Marilyn & Virgil Gaerke, Gilbert Sturwold, Mary Jane Sturwold, Norma & Warnie Alexander, Irma & Charles Wendeln.
Mary Ann was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality and a promoter of Apostleship Prayer. She was a 1954 graduate of Fort Loramie High School and a cook in the Fort Loramie Schools for 28 years. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, Ohio with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 6, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 7.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Fort Loramie Rescue Squad and St. Michael Church.
