LaVerne Gerlach
LaVerne P. Gerlach, 86, of Celina, passed away 8:02 p.m. Saturday evening, October 21, 2017 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born in St. Joe-Mercer County, Ohio on April 1, 1931 to Henry and Catherine (Fullenkamp) Gerlach and they preceded her in death.
LaVerne was employed as a child care provider after retiring from teaching in Texas where she lived for many years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena. She graduated from St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana. She gave guitar lessons to many people.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her brothers, Ambrosius Gerlach, Theodosius Gerlach and Father Dominic Gerlach, C.PP.S.
Per her request she is to be cremated. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Carthagena.
