A sport utility vehicle and an overturned minivan lie in a field at the intersection of state routes 118 and 707 after a Monday morning accident. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. At the scene were Rockford firefighters and squad members, along with Mercer County Sheriff's deputies. Sheriff's Capt. Doug Timmerman confirmed one person suffered minor injuries. A sheriff's office report on the accident was not available at press time today.
