The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

At 519 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Waynesfield, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Alger, Waynesfield, Roundhead, Mcguffey, Silver Creek, Jumbo, New Hampshire, Walton, and State Route 195 at State Route 235.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.

Wesley Schenck
Wesley "Gene" Schenck, 89, of Saint Marys, Ohio, and formerly of Dayton, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Gene is survived by his wife, Phyllis Schenck; his son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Elise Schenck of Vandalia, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Gardner Herzog and Dale Herzog of Saint Marys, Ohio. He is survived by his grandchildren: Michelle and Brandon Brown of Missouri; Brooke and Rob King of Vermont; Christin Gardner and Jeff Wacker of Vermont; Sean and Leeanna Gardner of Ohio, and Sara Schenck of Georgia. Gene is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and by one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Wesley and Violet (Mustard) Schenck; by his sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Pete Walsh; by a son, Steve Schenck; by a son-in-law, Gene Gardner.
Gene was a proud retiree from BG Danis in 1990, and a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 104. Gene was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Dayton for more than sixty years; a member of the Moose Lodge 1473 in Celina; Southshore Sportsmen Club of Saint Marys; a member of the Eagles Lodge in Celina.
He had served in the US Naval Reserves for six years. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals for 50 years.
Gene was a loving, kind, respectful man of integrity. He and his wife, Phyllis, enjoyed 69 years of marriage together and demonstrated firsthand what true love resembles. Gene will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but our love for him and memories live on.
The family would like to personally thank the staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital for the exceptional love and care they showed Gene and his family.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in the Meyer Chapel on the campus of Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community, 11230 State Route 364, Saint Marys, Ohio, 45885. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at Otterbein. Following the burial rites, and celebration of Gene's life will be held at Moose Lodge 1473, Celina.
