Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Alberta Stiverson
Alberta June Stiverson, age 92, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Monday December 4, 2017 at the Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1925 in Celina to the late Raymond G. and Golda L. (Piehl) Hoel. On May 26, 1946 she married Fay Stiverson, who died on Oct. 20, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by her sons and daughter-in-law Edson, John (Gail) Stiverson, 2 grandchildren Natasha Stiverson, Onna Feece and 1 Dec'd great grandchild.
Survivors include her son and daughters-in-law Cecil (Karla) Stiverson of Celina, Angela Stiverson of South Bend, IN, daughter Dawn Yates of Celina, 8 grandchildren Matthew Douglas, Cara Yates, Teelier (Daniel) Wilson, Miriah Wentz, Misty (Adam) Cook, Clay Yates, Cassandra Stiverson, Clinton (Kassandra) Stiverson and 10 great grandchildren.
Alberta was a member of the Grace Missionary Church in Celina. She graduated from Celina High School in 1943. She worked at the Winner Garment Factory and then worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Lester Eichenauer.
She was a farmer's wife, a homemaker that enjoyed her gardening and crocheting. She was a member of the Church Choir and she sang in the First Mennonite Church Handel's Messiah Performances. Alberta was a member of the Mercer County Genealogical Society.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 at the Grace Missionary Church in Celina, with Rev. Bruce Head officiating. Burial will follow in the North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday Dec. 8, 2017 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Missionary Church in Celina or the Gideons-Placed Bibles.
