Stella Kohler
Stella V. Kohler, 93, of Wapakoneta, died 8:43 a.m., Wed. Dec. 27, 2017, at the Celina Manor with her family by her side.
She was born July 28, 1924, the daughter of Albert & Emma (Wildermuth) Gross, who preceded her in death. On July 17, 1948, she married Roy M. Kohler, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2012.
Survivors include, 2 sisters, Edna O'Quinn, Sidney, OH, Opal Markley, Jackson Center, OH, 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Brubaker, Cridersville, OH, Betty Weaver, St. Marys, OH, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Luella Wittenbrink, Erma Long, & Clara Shroyer, and 2 brothers, John & Roy Gross.
Stella worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber, St. Marys, retiring after 37 years of service. She was a ladies auxiliary member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #767, St. Marys.
Stella and her husband Roy enjoyed taking bus trips to casinos. While working at Goodyear, she was selected to take a ride in the Goodyear Blimp. She enjoyed working in her yard, playing bingo, crocheting, and being with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Celina Manor and State of the Heart Hospice for the loving care they provided to Stella.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sat. Dec. 30., 2017, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt. 501), Wapakoneta, with Pastor Mark Bauer officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
The family will receive friends from 12:30–2:00 p.m., Sat. at the funeral home.
