* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 810 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Troy, Piqua, Greenville, Celina, Tipp City, St. Marys, West Milton, Coldwater, New Bremen, Minster, Versailles, Covington, St. Henry, Arcanum, Newport, Bradford, Union City, Fort Loramie, Fort Recovery and Pleasant Hill.

At 940 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Fort Shawnee, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Nickel size hail, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Lightning can cause serious injury or death. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Kenton, Fort Shawnee, Cridersville, Alger, Waynesfield, Belle Center, Chippewa Park, Northwood, Roundhead, Rushsylvania, Mcguffey, Uniopolis, Silver Creek, Jumbo, Huntersville, Walton, New Hampshire, Big Springs, and State Route 195 at State Route 235.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 115 and 118.

Michael Meiring
Michael J. Meiring, 66, passed away on January 23, 2018, in Grandview Hospital, Dayton.
He was born in Coldwater, Ohio on July 8, 1951 to the late Marcus "Mike" and Irene (Vehorn) Meiring. On May 3, 1975 he married Terese Mescher at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by his daughters Natalie (Michael) Acker Santa Cruz, CA and Leslie Meiring, Sacramento, CA, brothers & sisters: Carol & George McMaster, Minster, Gary & Peg Meiring, Minster, Karen & Eric Coffman, TN, Sandy & Ted Gudorf, Clayton, Cindy & Tom Brown, Minster, Mary & Jeff Moeller, Minster & Ken & Connie Meiring, Minster and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Michael T. Meiring in 2017, a brother Thomas Meiring in 1976, a niece Maureen Meiring and a nephew Abram Brown both in 2013.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. He graduated from Minster High School in 1969 and served in the Army National Guard. Mike worked for the family business and was an avid Bengals fan and enjoyed his winters in Florida.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Augustine Church, Minster, at 10:00 am on Monday, January 29, 2018, with Rev. Rick Nieberding, Celebrant.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Sunday, January 28, from 1 to 5 pm and Monday from 9 to 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
