Alan F. Simon, 74, of Rockford, Ohio, died unexpectedly at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys Ohio, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
Alan was born on November 21, 1943, in Van Wert, the son of William and Gladys (Krugh) Simon.
He graduated from Ohio City High School then served with the Air National Guard. He was co-owner, with his son Walt, of Simon Farms - raising crops and prize cattle. He was a member of the Ohio Cattlemen's Association and showed shorthorn cattle across the U.S., earning multiple Grand Champion titles with his stock.
