Joey Liming
With great sadness, the family of Joey L. Liming of St. Marys, OH, announces his passing from natural causes on Friday morning, April 13th, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born April 2, 1958 in Xenia, OH to Ervin and Maryjane (Webster) Liming.
He is survived by: Brother, Gary (Joann) Liming of St. Marys, OH; Sister, Nancy Liette of St. Marys, OH; Son, Chad (Katie) Liming Kinney of Melbourne, FL; Granddaughters, Julia & Penny Layne Kinney of Melbourne, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Maryjane Liming; brothers, James ("Jim") Liming and "Big" Andy Liming; brother-in-law, David Liette; and his faithful dog, Eugene.
He was a 1976 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army; Cpl. Liming served as a tank systems mechanic at a base in Germany. For most of Joey's life he drove professionally, and always took great pride in the quality of his work. He drove cement trucks, commercial big rigs, and eventually started his own company "One Dog Trucking" (Eugene was the inspiration).
Joey will always be remembered as a loving father and role-model to his adopted son. "Uncle Joey," also greatly enjoyed being with his nieces and nephews, and immensely valued spending time with his brothers and sister - whom he loved very much.
As a true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, water skiing, riding motorcycles, and flying radio-controlled model airplanes (he tried drones for a while, but preferred planes).
Viewings will be held on Thursday (April 19th, 2018) from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, and then a viewing at 9 am on Friday (April 20th), followed by funeral services at 10 am that Friday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home (314 W. High Street Chapel) in St. Marys. Burial, with full military honors, will take place at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, OH at approximately 1:00 pm on Friday (April 20th).
In lieu of flowers or contributions, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
