* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Letha Bechtol
Letha F. "Fern" Bechtol, age 99, of Huber Heights, Ohio, formerly of Howe, IN and Fort Recovery, Ohio, died May 24, 2018, at her residence.
She was born February 5, 1919, in Portland, IN, to the late Charles and Lulu (Jones) Abbott. On April 8, 1939, she married the late Paul J. Bechtol, who died January 16, 1992.
Surviving are her children, Nancy Steed of Redkey, IN, Paul E. (Nancy) Bechtol of Cookeville, TN, Carl (Karen) Bechtol of Fort Recovery, OH, and Linda (Harry) Ness of Huber Heights, OH; 14 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren; 25 Great Great Grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Betty Bechtol of Fort Recovery, OH, Bonnie Abbott of Portland, IN and Emma Jane Crouse of Portland, IN.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mae Adkins; a grandson, Paul Micheal Bechtol; bothers, Russel, Ralph and Charles Abbott and infant brothers, Everet, Arthur and Frederick Abbott; and sisters, Opal Butcher, Daisy Romine, Dorothy Bergman, Mary Teeters, Rita Garner, Martha Crouse, Reba Bentz, and Linnie Upp, and infant sisters, Fay and May Abbott.
She was a graduate of the former Bryant High School, Bryant, IN. Fern loved to square dance with her husband in earlier years, she also enjoyed gardening in her flower beds and crocheting blankets for her family. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. Burial will follow at Salamonia Cemetery, Salamonia, Indiana.
Calling is 11:00 am-2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
