Irene was born July 8, 1919 as the first daughter of the late Roman and Matilda (Brandewie) Kremer. Sisters Marty, Delores, Ruth and Ethel rounded out this family of beautiful, intelligent and independent women.
Irene married the love of her life, Ray Reichert, on July 25, 1942 just a few months before Ray entered the Army to serve his four year tour of duty in the European Theater of World War II.
Upon Ray's return, Irene and Ray started their family which ultimately was comprised of daughter Jane (Scott) Flischel of Springboro, Ohio, son Tom aka "Boomer" (Chris Steinke) Reichert of Chicago, Il, daughter Pat (Dennis) Serie of Urbana, Ohio and son Jerry (Laura Kremer) Reichert of Ft. Mitchell, KY. In addition to her four children, Irene was blessed with twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren and counting.
Irene lost her husband Ray on October 26, 1999 after 57 memorable years of marriage. Following Ray's death, Irene enjoyed her remaining years bringing joy, happiness and encouragement to all with whom she came in contact.
Irene partnered with Ray in the Reichert's Pure Oil Company and retired after 30 years with the Mersman Brothers Tables Company in Celina. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and very active with the Altar Rosary Sodality. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Mercer County Senior Citizens.
