Off-road crash

Mercer County Emergency Medical Services responders tend to a victim at the scene of an off-road vehicle accident along Depweg Road in Butler Township about 4 p.m. Tuesday. Derek Edward Albers, 19, Celina, was operating a Polaris vehicle on private property near a creek when he overturned the vehicle and went into the creek, according to a Mercer County Sheriff's Office report. Albers was ejected from his vehicle, and it reportedly landed on him, causing incapacitating injuries. Albers was taken to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
