Pauline Shaffer
Pauline Marie Shaffer, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 23rd in Lexington, Ky.
Born Feb. 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Pearl (Gehm) Bollenbacher. She graduated from Rockford High School and married the late Leland Hisey Shaffer on July 17, 1948.
She is survived by daughters Diane (Dave) Akerman of Van Wert and Rhonda (Doug) Archbold of Lexington. Ky., grandchildren Shane Archbold, Trisha (Josh) Font and Kyle (Shannon) Akerman, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Lowell Bollenbacher and Jerry (Nita) Bollenbacher and sisters-in-law Dorle Bollenbacher, Rockford, and Nina Bollenbacher, Celina.
She was preceded in death by brothers Luther and Carroll Bollenbacher.
She worked at the Yours and Mine Restaurant and The Bon Ton in Van Wert for many years.
Funeral services to be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1538 Oregon Rd., Rockford, Ohio, on Thursday, June 28th with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and services to follow at 11:00 a.m.
