Miriam Cone
Miriam A Cone, 64, of Rockaway Beach, MO, went on her final journey to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving daughters, sisters, and brothers.
She was born on May 8, 1954 in Mercer County to John and Phyllis (Blank) Stose.
Survivors include: Daughters: Jennifer Houseberg (Matt) Paugh of Florida, and Jessica (James) Garcia of Texas; Brothers: Dave (Tammy) Stose, and Jonathan (Brenda) Stose of Mendon; Sisters: Marty (Mike) Lefeld of Coldwater, and Ruth (Dave) Burnett of Celina; Grandchildren: Michael, Gabriel, Aariyah McKinley and Mason Paugh; Alexander and Adrianna Garcia; Special friend: Gary Hare.
Miriam was preceded in death by her husband Tom Cone; parents John and Phyllis Stose, paternal grandparents Jay and Edna Stose; maternal grandparents Lester and Helen Blank.
Miriam was a dedicated nurse for many years, working around the Texas region and then into Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma as an auditor for nursing facilities.
She loved working with her hands and made beautiful quilts, enjoyed gardening and caring for her 2 dogs, Molly and Mitzy. Miriam was an avid baker and cook, collecting and creating her own recipes. She played the piano and organ for many years at Mt. Tabor Church of God and was a lifelong member. She also played the organ at a church in Texas.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Whelchel Grace Funeral Home in Forsyth, MO.
