Fab Four, pumpkin style
Photo by Tom Millhouse/The Daily Standard

The pumpkin people Beatles walking across Abbey Road are drawing a great deal of attention in New Bremen. The Fab Four with a pumpkin twist are the creation of Lather salon owner Brooke Wente with help from her husband, Jeff. She said the idea behind the display was to highlight "iconic hair styles," thus the re-creation of the famous 1969 "Abbey Road" album cover. "I think everyone is a Beatles fan," Wente said, noting that since the display was put up Friday, people have been stopping at the shop, 406 S. Washington St., to take photos.
