Bob Tracy
Robert D. "Bob" Tracy, 83, died Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born July 7, 1935, in Convoy, Ohio, to Albert and Helen (Naylor) Tracy. Bob graduated from Rockford High School in 1954 and Northern Virginia Community College with honors in 1975. He retired as an aircraft mechanic for Wells Aircraft Inc., in Hutchinson, after 22 years. In Bob's free time, he bowled for numerous years. He was a member of American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361, Elks Lodge #453, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2550, and Loyal Order of Moose #982. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy retiring with around 30 years of service.
On December 21, 1956, he married Donna Beckner in Hutchinson. She died January 4, 2005.
Survivors include: sons, Timothy Tracy and wife Crystal of Nickerson, and Robert Tracy of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Angela White with companion Chris Graham of Wichita; long-time companion, Melba Smith; nine grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Nick Huck officiating. Burial will take place at Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Council of Reno County, Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County or Kansas Honor Flight, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
