At 806 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Monroe, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Mercer County.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Chester Flowers
Chester Lee "Chet" Flowers, age 60, formerly of Celina, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at his home in Eaton.
He was born June 25, 1958, in Van Wert, to the late John Jr. & Florence W. (Pegan) Flowers.
Surviving are his Daughter, Nicole Leaker of Eaton; the Mother of his Children, Vickie Salmons of Shawnee; two Grandchildren: Aldin Lee Leaker and Spencer Kelly Leaker; Brother & Sisters: Carolyn Younker of Celina, Harold "Wayne" (Sheila) Flowers of Lynchburg, OH, Beverly (Joe) West of New Weston, and Barbara (John) Frey of Colorado Springs, CO; Brother-in-law, Robert L. Hone of Celina; and a number of Nieces & Nephews.
Preceding him in death were a Daughter, Brandy Lee Flowers (2009) Brother, Allen Eugene Flowers (2005) Sister, Kathleen Joann "Kathy" Hone (2013) Nephews: Bobby Flowers (1978) and Jacob Matthew Turner (1991) and Sister-in-law, Connie Flowers-Seals (2017).
Chet was a 1976 Celina High School graduate, and served with the U.S. Army. He worked in construction for Schwieterman's and Tom's Construction, and had also been employed at Mersman Furniture.
A "jack of all trades," Chet enjoyed junking and collecting, traveling weekly and monthly to buy and sell at area flea markets. Favorite pastimes were fishing, and hunting for arrowheads.
Calling Hours are at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, Saturday, October 13, from 2-4:00 P.M., with a Memorial Service to begin at 4:00. Pastor Tony Richmond will officiate.
