Ted Thobe
Ted H. Thobe, age 35, of Maria Stein, died Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born January 5, 1983 in St Marys, to Larry Thobe and the late Linda (Enneking) Thobe. He lived with and was cared for by Tim & Diane Menchhofer since 1994.
He is also survived by siblings, Tina & F. Luis James, Nicole & Rob Nelson, Sara & Brent Hess, Kelly & Josh Sodders, Tim & Brandi Menchhofer and Tom & Joe Menchhofer; several nieces and nephews; and his grandmother Lois Schroyer.
He is preceded in death by siblings Angela Thobe and Brent Menchhofer and grandparents Clem & Zita Enneking and Henry & Matilda Thobe.
Ted was a 5K participant in area races for over 20 years assisted by Sandy Dieringer. He attended St. John Lutheran Church in Celina with the Menchhofers. At the age of 25, Ted moved into his own home with 2 roommates. He enjoyed living on his own with the assistance of care providers from Family Care Options in Celina. Ted enjoyed watching sports, the Marion Local Band in parades, playing cards and watching the Golden Girls, Andy Griffith, and the news.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cassella. Burial will follow in Nativity Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm and on Thursday from 9 to 10 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home Coldwater.
