Amanda Borges
Amanda Borges, 101, of Saint Marys, died 12:01 A.M. Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the Grande Living Center, Saint Marys.
She was born January 16, 1917, the daughter of Dennis and Sally (Helmlinger) Waltz. She married Carl H. Schwarck on February 17, 1934, and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1956. She married Joseph A. Borges on June 28, 1959; he preceded her in death on August 9, 1992.
She is survived by her son, Harry (Jeannine) Schwarck of Celina; her daughter, Connie (Charles) Overley of Saint Marys. She is also survived 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 2 foster great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, by two sons, Larry Schwarck and Richard Schwarck; by 2 grandchildren, 1 foster grandchild, 1 great-grandchild and 1 great-great-grandchild; by 2 sisters, Cleta Berlet and Nettie Hager; by a brother, Forest Waltz.
Funeral rites will be held 12:00 noon Monday, December 3, 2018, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Pastor Bob Sweeney, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
