Elizabeth Wenning
Elizabeth L. (Betty) Wenning, age 94, of Coldwater passed away at Briarwood Village on Friday, November 30, 2018.
She was born November 30, 1924 in Chickasaw to the late Frank & Kathryn (Gerlach) Grieshop. On September 28, 1946, she married Nobert Wenning in Battle Creek, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 1982.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Mary Lou & Ken Grohs of Australia, John & Karen Wenning of Centerville, Chris Wenning of Huber Heights, and Katie Wenning of Springboro; six grandchildren; in-laws Mark & Joan Wenning of St. Henry, Barbara Wenning of Anna, MaDonna & Joe Rose of Coldwater, and Alberta Wenning of Coldwater. She is preceded in death by seven brothers; three sisters and numerous in laws.
Betty was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, St. Ann Rosary Altar Sodality, Coldwater American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliaries. She enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles with her longtime neighbor and dear friend, Ginger Miller and visiting with the neighborhood children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Friday and 9 to 10 am Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
