Wayne Moore
Wayne L. Moore, 70, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on June 14, 1948, in Celina, to Glen and Olive (Hendershot) Moore, who have preceded him in death. On July 18, 1970, he married Linda D. Mangen, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include four daughters, Karma (David) Topor of Strongsville, Keely (RJ) Murphy, of Xenia, Kathy Moore and Kasey (Clint) Nelson, both of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Jeannie (Kenneth) Mangen, of Tipp City.
Wayne was a graduate of Celina High School and Miami University. He retired as a teacher from Spencerville School. Wayne enjoyed coaching basketball, football, baseball, track, golf, and driver's ed. He loved wintering in Florida and playing golf there.
A memorial service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Chaplain Ellen Mitchell will officiate.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. It was Wayne's wish for his body to be donated to science, through the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, Anatomical Gift Program.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
