Kenneth Winthrop
On Monday, December 10, 2018, Kenneth Ray Winthrop, of Manhattan Beach, California, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 67 years.
A native of New York, Ken graduated from State University of New York Buffalo. Soon following in the footsteps of his renowned actuary father, Ralph Winthrop, Ken began his career in Life Insurance and Financial Planning. Over the next 40 years, Ken found gratification in his work helping his clients ensure their families would be protected through life's most challenging moments.
Ken will forever be remembered by his surviving family: beloved wife of 37 years Diane Denney-Winthrop (formerly of Fort Recovery, Ohio), his daughter Alyssa (Rich) Meggison and grandchildren Ethan, Laylana, and Declan of Spring Hill, Florida, sons Matthew (Leah) Winthrop of Redondo Beach, California and Andrew Winthrop of Manhattan Beach, California, and sister Audrey Winthrop of Seal Beach, California.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lore Winthrop of Los Angeles, California.
A Celebration of Life for Ken will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, December 15, at The Portofino Hotel & Marina, 260 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach, California in the Ocean Room.
