Donald Schallenberg
Donald L. Schallenberg, age 89, of St. Marys, passed away at 5:20 am, on Saturday, December, 22, 2018 at the Grand Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys. He was born May 20, 1929 in Auglaize County to the late Norman & Margret (Goodwin) Schallenberg.
Donald is the father to five children - Donna (Bob) Houser of Van Wert, Ricky (Tina) Schallenberg of St. Marys, Ron (Tammy) Schallenberg of St. Marys, Randy Schallenberg of Rockford, and Don Jr. Schallenberg of Rockford; grandfather, great grandfather and uncle to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces & nephews; brother to B. Glass and Doris Lauth, both of St. Marys and Virgina Lilly, who preceded him in death.
Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, coaching little league baseball and playing horseshoes. Donald was a member of the St. Marys Eagles Lodge #767. He retired in 1991 from New Idea Service & Warehouse.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm - 2:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018 in Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral services at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
