Barbara Cramer
Barbara A. Cramer, 77, of Ottawa walked and danced into the presence of her Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
She was born June 26, 1941 in Celina to the late Clay "Jay" and Vera (Lusk) Shaner. On August 3, 1963, she married Phillip Cramer in Celina and he survives in Ottawa.
Survivors also include a son, Michael and Pamela Cramer of Kewaskum, WI; a brother, Tyrone and Carol Shaner of Celina; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Gulker, Grace Cramer, Toni Osting, Bud and Mary Lou Bewsey, Tom and Jane Livingston, Dan and Sue Cramer, and Harry "Jack" and Cindy Cramer; and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a managing cosmetologist and homemaker. She worked for Celina Plaza Beauty Salon, Pauline's in Elida, and First Lady and Barbara's Hair Fashion in Ottawa. She graduated from Celina High School and Fort Wayne Beauty College.
She spent over 25 years struggling with Multiple Sclerosis. She loved to bake and make arts and craft items and greeting cards only to give away to glorify God in the talent she had received. She was a beautiful wife and mother with compassion for those underprivileged. She always lit up when she was sharing the Word of God with total strangers. She was a soldier of Christ in all respects proclaiming the Word of God.
Barbara's wish was to have no visitation. A service will be held for close family at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Burial will be at Spencerville Cemetery in Spencer Township.
Memorial contributions may be given to Putnam County Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, WTGN, and WTLW.
