Valanda Wenning
Valanda "Linda" J. (Heitkamp) Wenning, age 89, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born March 25, 1929 in Chickasaw to the late Anthony & Rosa (Fullenkamp) Heitkamp. On July 15, 1950, she married Francis Wenning and he died on June 9, 2008.
She is survived by her children and in-laws, Curt Wenning of New Bremen, Mike & Marty Wenning of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Jeff & Cindy Wenning of Coldwater, and Kevin & Tina Wenning of Coldwater; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings and in-laws, Luella Heitkamp of Tipp City, Rosie Lehman of Centerville, Arnold Heitkamp of New Bremen, Gil & Marilyn Heitkamp of Tipp City, Paul Sudhoff of Madison, Indiana, Cam Wenning of Coldwater, and Margaret Wenning of Ft. Recovery.
She is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Cynthia L. Wenning; siblings and in-laws, Annette & Russ Haley, Ernie & Rosie Heitkamp, Ken Heitkamp, Mary Sudhoff, Celeste & Harold Staugler, Eugene Heitkamp, Eugene Lehman, Nancy Heitkamp, Paul Wenning, Lillian & Norb Dues, Lucille & Jim Ontrop, Evelyn Wint-Kaucher, Joe Wint, Ben Kaucher, Lester Wenning & Elaine Wenning.
Valanda was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality and the Coldwater V.F.W. auxiliary. She worked in the office at the former New Idea plant, Coldwater.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday March 17 and 9-10 AM on Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Care or the Coldwater food pantry.
