An arctic cold front will move through the area this afternoon and evening, bringing snow showers and much colder air. While accumulations will generally be less than one half inch, quick bursts of snow will result in reductions in visibility and slick conditions at times. Some snow squalls are possible, which could lead to locally difficult travel conditions.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 1 AM Monday to 10 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Russell Snider
Russell W. Snider Jr., age 96, Celina, passed away 7:15 p.m. April 30, 2019, at Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, Ohio.
He was born August 11, 1922, in Thornville, Ohio, to the late Russell and Louise (Helser) Snider. On July 4, 1943, he married Elsie M. Young Snider, and she preceded him in death on December 31, 2011.
Surviving are four children, Dale Snider, Mendon, Ron (Marlene) Snider, Celina, Peggy (Joe) Severt, Celina, and Kathleen Snider, Celina; siblings, Dean (Kay) Snider, Galveston, Texas, Phyliss Dupler, Glenford, Ohio, and Joyce (John) Nichols, Tucson, Arizona; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Donna Jean; a daughter-in-law, Peg Snider; and three siblings, Carl Snider, Anabelle Dowdy, and Helen Fetters.
Russell served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He worked his early life on the Snider Dairy Farm in Somerset, Ohio and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in St. Marys after 30 plus years of service. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, and a life member of the Celina VFW Post #5713.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Military funeral honors will be presented at the conclusion of the funeral services at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Zion Ridge Cemetery in Perry County.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, and or State of the Heart Hospice.
