The students participated in an essay contest in honor of Law Day on Thursday and were recognized by the judges, commissioners, elected officials and the Mercer County Bar Association. Evans won first place, Harris second place and Fullenkamp third place. The essay's theme was "Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society."
