During the predawn hours, winds will increase ahead of a low pressure system moving east through the lower Great Lakes. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through this afternoon, possibly gusting to 45 mph in a few spots. Wind is expected to decrease overnight but remain relatively strong at 20-25 mph this evening.
Please be aware of these strong winds especially if driving a higher profile vehicle. Secure loose outdoor objects and shore up seasonal decorations if possible.

Mercedes Bergman
Mercedes A. Bergman, age 90, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on June 28, 2019 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
She was born May 1, 1929, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Samuel and Anna (Bruns) Barnhart. On April 30, 1949, she married Lavern "Clem" Bergman Sr., who passed away on July 14, 2002.
Surviving are her children, Barb (LaVern) Grube of Fort Recovery, Susie (Dale) Langenkamp of North Star, OH, Karen (Jerry) Honerlaw of Cincinnati, OH, Mary Jane (Tom) Post of Fort Recovery, Ginny (Ron) Borger of Coldwater and Theresa (Tracy) Cripe of Jacksonville, FL; 18 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and in-laws, Kathryn Bergman, Peg Bergman, Elsie Timmerman and Floyd & Joan Bergman, all of Fort Recovery, and Jack and Jean Bergman, St. Henry.
Preceding her in death are a son, Lavern Jr. "Bud" Bergman; two granddaughters; siblings, Luella & Clyde Parker, Alberta & Ralph Adams, Freda & Francis Young and Natalia & Leo Osterholt; and in-laws, Ralph & Mary Bergman, Ruth & Robert Finch, Bob & Lucille Bergman, Walter Bergman, Betty Jean & Cy Brockman, Melvin & Emerita Bergman, Margie & Norb Vogel and Roscoe Timmerman.
She was a 1947 graduate of St. John's Academy, Indianapolis, IN. After marriage she assisted her husband with the former Bergman Auto Sales, Fort Recovery while raising a family. She was also a Stanley & Avon representative in the Fort Recovery area for many years.
Mercedes began bowling when Miracle Lanes Bowling Alley, Fort Recovery opened and continued bowling for 60 years. She loved golfing and was especially proud of her two hole in ones. She also enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, playing cards and gardening.
She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery and it's Altar Sodality.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Fr. Ned Brown celebrant. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
