MSI Environmental personnel clean up a fertilizer and manure spill in a creek near the intersection of U.S. 127 and State Route 274 on Friday. According to Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District technician Matt Heckler, the spill occurred when a pump stopped working at a dairy farm. Heckler said he and Ohio Environmental Protection Agency representatives were on scene for about seven hours. No further details were available at press time.
