* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Snow melt and refreezing overnight has resulted in the development of black ice on roads.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Leroy Permann
Leroy Permann, 89, of Rockford, Ohio died at 1:36 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio.
He was born July 11, 1930 in Delmont, South Dakota to the late Edwin and Emma Permann. He married Phyllis (Baldwin) Permann and she preceded him in death in 2004. Leroy then married Mary L. (Doner) Permann and she survives of Rockford, Ohio.
Leroy retired from Navistar after 30 plus years of service, was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War, attended St. John Lutheran Church-Hopewell and was a member of the Maumee Valley Antique Steam and Gas Association of New Haven, Indiana.
In addition to his wife Mary, Leroy is survived by his children; Mark L. (Beth) Permann and Julie Permann, both of Ft Wayne, Indiana; step children, Kelly (Chad Urick) Green of Willshire, Ohio, Dawn (Bil) Jefferies of Goodyear, Arizona, and Amy (John) Dugan of Rockford and a step daughter in law, Angie Dietrich; his grandchildren, Heath Permann, Chase Permann, Carly Miller, Amy Miller, and Nick Miller; step grandchildren, Joe Green, Tony (Audrey) Green, Haley (Calvin) Niese, Morgan Dietrich, Cody Dugan, and Sage Dugan; a nephew, Mike (Lila) Fechner of Delmont, South Dakota.
Leroy was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Permann; a sister, Ernestine Fechner; and a step son, Steve Dietrich.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, with the Rev. Karen Tamorria officiating. Burial will follow in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill, Ohio.
Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Tuesday.
Preferred memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice.
