ST MARYS - St. Marys ranked 27th in a list of the 50 best cities in which to live in the U.S. recently published by USA Today, due to the city's low cost of living and safe conditions.
The list was compiled from data gathered by 24/7 Wall Street, a partner of USA Today. The rankings depended on several weighted factors that measured the affordability, economy, quality of life and community of individual cities. [More]

Coldwater graduate and Eastern Michigan defensive back Brody Hoying was named Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week for his performance at Kentucky last week.
Hoying finished with nine tackles and a half sack in a 38-17 loss at Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky. On the season, Hoying has 13 tackles (2 1/2 for loss) and one interception for the Eagles, who are 1-1. [More]

WAPAKONETA - Auglaize County Board of Elections members on Wednesday approved rovers and the ballot for the Nov. 5 general election.
Members hired five rovers who will travel to various polling locations to assess and assist with problems. Rovers are each paid $165 plus mileage for the day.
