Naomi Bender
Naomi (Kuhn) Bender passed away peacefully in her home in New Orleans, LA in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 26, 2019.
She was born Oct. 11, 1926, the fifth of eight children of John and Ruth Mae (Cordier) Kuhn at their farmhouse in Celina, Ohio. Naomi met the love of her life John Russell Bender at Celina High School. They later married and then were blessed with three children.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Bryan) Pedeaux and Diana Bender and her partner James Dean all of New Orleans, a son, John Steven Bender and his partner Katherine Miller of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Thomas and a sister in law Dolores Kuhn both of Celina.
Her passing was proceeded by her husband and her parents and the following siblings and in laws; Mary and Jack Hultz, Clarence and Alta Jean Kuhn, George and Gladys Kuhn, Norma and Carl Buck, Joe Kuhn, Dale Thomas and Ray and Betty Kuhn.
Funeral Services will be at Gerald L. Schoen Jr. Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 on Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana.
