The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Thomas Mescher
Thomas A. Mescher, age 88 of Maria Stein, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 22, 1931 in Maria Stein to the late William & Anna (Overman) Mescher. On June 27, 1959 he married Jeanette M. (Unrast) Mescher, and she passed away July 13, 2004.
He is survived by children: Jeff Mescher of New Bremen, Roy & Angela Mescher of Maria Stein, Sam & Kathleen Mescher of Montezuma, Alan & Marcia Mescher of Osgood, Ted & Sara Mescher, Jane & Doug Meyer, and Brian & Michelle Mescher all of Maria Stein. Tom is also survived by 19 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and siblings and in-laws: Leander & Carol Mescher, Marie Schmidt, Rita Sullivan, Mary Catherine Mescher, Cookie Unrast, Joann & Werner Holdheide, and Robert & Patsy Unrast.
In addition to his parents and wife, Tom is preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, Victor & Emma Unrast, and sibling and in-laws: Albert & Leona Mescher, Alvina & Henry Kuether, Agnes & Lawrence Hoying, George & Martha Mescher, Alvin & Norma Mescher, Leo Schmidt, George Sullivan, Paul & Joan Mescher, John Mescher, Crescentia & Richard Selhorst, and Donald & Mary Lou Unrast.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and the St. John's Men's Sodality. He worked over 48 years at the former New Idea factory in Coldwater.
Tom was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in Korea; he then became a member of Maria Stein Legion Post 571, Chickasaw VFW Post 9019. He was Knight of Columbus in Minster, and was a past Scout Master and St. Rose Little League Coach. He enjoyed playing cards, cheering on the Marion Local Flyers, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 until 8 pm Monday November 4, 2019 and 9:00 until 10:00 am Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
