Eagles fall to Panthers in Quick Lane Bowl

Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett (8) is wrapped up by Eastern Michigan defensive back Brody Hoying (24) and defensive lineman Shawn Simeon (95) during the first half of the Quick Lane Bowl NCAA college football game Thursday in Detroit. Hoying, a Coldwater graduate, had a fumble recovery that led to an Eastern Michigan touchdown in a 34-30 loss. The Eagles were denied their first bowl win since 1987 by a late touchdown.
