The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

John Adkins
John Frederick Adkins, age 64 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at his residence in Celina.
He was born on December 23, 1955 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Bayless J and Carlie I. (Lewis) Adkins.   He is survived by the mother of his children Mindy Gianotto of Wooster, and three children; Kelly Adkins of South Haven, MI, Andrew Adkins of Mt. Pleasant, MI and Lisa Adkins of Celina.
He is also survived by five grandchildren; Chloe (Wyatt) Jackson, Madison (Andrew) Heckman, Sophie Morris, Drew Adkins, Gianna Fazio and two brothers and sisters-in-law; Darrell (Dorean) Adkins, Homer Adkins, Sandra Adkins all of Wooster, Joanne Adkins of Millersburg and a brother-in-law Charlie Mills of Creston.
  John was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Leonard, Stanley, William, Ernie and his sisters Wanda Adkins and Ann Mills.
  John proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 2nd Armored Division and in the 101st Airborne Division. He was employed as a Journeyman Electrician and was formerly employed at Wright State University Lake Campus in Celina and retired from Goodyear in St. Marys. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union in Lima. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Celina. He enjoyed Nascar Racing, watching the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Football teams play.
  A Memorial Celebration of John's life will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Juan M. Curiel officiating.
The family will receive friends an hour before service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County P.O. Box 624, Celina, Ohio 45822.
