* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

Brisk hike

Laura Mazur of New Bremen, left, joins others for a hike along Miami-Erie Canal during the Lockkeeper's Cabin Fever Hike Sunday afternoon in New Bremen. The hike was the first of four that's part of the Cabin Fever Hike Series. The next will is the United Way Hike for Health from 1-3 p.m. on Feb. 9 beginning at the City of St. Marys utilities building, also known as the canal room.
