Alma Huwer
Alma M. Huwer, age 96, of Coldwater, died Friday, January 17, 2020 at her home.
She was born May 16, 1923 in Coldwater, to the late Aloys H. & Eleanor (Wenning) Buschur. She married Paul F. Huwer on June 3, 1941 and he died April 18, 1995.
She is also survived by a daughter, Connie & Ron Muhlenkamp of Butler, Pennsylvania; a son-in-law Ralph Miller of Coldwater; 7 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene Buschur of Coldwater.
She is preceded in death by daughters Janice Miller and Mary Huwer; 1 grandchild; 1 great grandchild; siblings Mary Bergman, Irene Gaerke, Daniel Buschur, Arthur Buschur and Margie Gast.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater and the St. Ann's Altar Rosary sodality. Alma worked in the veneer room and served as secretary for the union at the former Mersman Plant in Celina for 19 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday January 22nd, and from 9 to 10 AM on Thursday.
