The following local events have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic:
n The Auglaize PERI Chapter No. 9 luncheon meeting scheduled for April 7 at St. Marys is canceled. The next meeting is set for June 2 at the Wapakoneta Eagles Aerie.

  n The Auglaize County Historical Society's "Remember the Ladies: The 1850 Women's Rights Convention in Salem, Ohio" presentation planned for March 29 in Wapakoneta has been canceled. Society administrator Rachel Barber said all Ohio Humanities Council programs in March have been canceled. For more information, contact the society at 419-738-9328.

CELINA - The regular gang showed up at the Mercer County Council of Aging Senior Center on Friday for the typical afternoon round of cards, but it was much smaller than usual, likely out of concern over the coronavirus.

FORT RECOVERY - A Fort Recovery man was cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after the vehicle he was driving reportedly traveled left of center and struck a semitrailer, resulting in the death of about 25 hogs.
