Margaret Moorman
Margaret I. Moorman, age 83, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater. She was born on August 3, 1936 in rural Mercer County, Ohio to the late Alferd and Viola (Zahn) Stammen. On July 6, 1957, she married Eldon F. Moorman and he survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include her children, Daniel A. Moorman, Celina, Deborah (Jeffrey) Sneddon, Celina, Jacqueline (Kevin) Edwards, Lima, Douglas (Shalimar) Moorman, Celina and Todd Moorman, Celina; two brothers, Orville (Teri) Stammen, Boston, Massachusetts and Charles (Denise) Stammen, Celina; three sisters, Della Gerlach, St. Henry, Shirley (Paul) Kelch, New Weston, Ohio and Judy Fenning, Sunbury, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Stammen, Coldwater and Brenda Stammen, Celina; 11 grandchildren, Stacy, Kristopher, Dionna, Alicia, Andrew, Dillon, Danielle, Aaron, Corey, Ashley and Rick; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and James Stammen; and three sisters, Patricia Dorton, Barbra Sherman and Mary Ann Stammen.
Margaret was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, crafting, needle point, crocheting, playing cards and listening to country music.
Margaret was a very active grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.
Due to restrictions of the Covid-19 virus we will be following the guidelines set by the Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's office; limiting attendance to the visitation and the funeral services to immediate family members and invited friends only.
Visitation hours will take place from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina. Private funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S., officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
