Auglaize fatal accident under investigation

From staff reports
WAPAKONETA - A traffic crash that involved a Celina man and resulted in the death of a Fort Jennings man is under investigation by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.
Troopers from the Wapakoneta post reportedly responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Route 29 north of New Knoxville near Holtkamp Road at about 5:19 a.m. Monday.
Andrew Klosterman, 35, Celina, was driving a blue 2020 Honda sedan northbound on State Route 29, according to a post news release. Russ Wiedeman, 54, Fort Jennings, was driving a black 1998 Honda sedan southbound on State Route 29.
Klosterman's vehicle reportedly crossed left of center for an unknown reason, striking Wiedeman's vehicle head-on. Klosterman's vehicle came to a rest on the roadway and sustained severe, disabling damage. Wiedeman's vehicle came to a rest in a ditch on the west side of State Route 29 and sustained severe, disabling damage.
Klosterman reportedly was transported by St. Marys EMS to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, for non-incapacitating injuries. Wiedeman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Auglaize County Coroner's Office and was transported from the scene by Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, according to the release.
Impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash, the release stated. The crash remains under investigation.
Other agencies assisting at the scene were New Knoxville Fire Department, Auglaize County Sheriff's Office and Ohio Department of Transportation.
