* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Ann Ridgway
Ann C. Ridgway, age 72, of Portland and formerly of Fort Recovery, died August 24, 2020 at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton, IN.
She was born June 18, 1948, in Cleveland, to the late John Kontos and Elisabeth (Murphy) Walker. On January 28, 1992, she married the late James Ridgway, who died July 12, 2018.
Surviving are her children, Ted Jennings of Salamonia, IN and Melissa Orme of Decatur, IN; step son, Ron Ridgway; grandchildren, Simon, Wade, Lance, and London; siblings, Sara (Paul) Lake of Portland, Wayne (Lynn) Lake of Portland, Fred (Alexander) Lake of New York, and Leona Pyle of Portland; and a brother-in-law, Steve Jellison of Portland.
Also preceding her in death are her son, David Jennings; grandchildren, Heaven and Chelsie; and siblings, Pauline Jellison and Mark Lake.
She was a graduate of West High School, Cleveland and was retired from Tyson Foods, Portland.
Ann was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 6515, Fort Recovery, where she served on the color guard, was historian, and was active in the Buddy Poppy fundraiser. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Loyal Order of Moose, all of Portland.
She was a collector of hats, 8 tracks, vinyl records and movies. Ann was also an avid reader and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Graveside services are 4:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2020 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, Fo rt Recovery.
