Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Ruby Bollenbacher
Ruby M. Bollenbacher, age 92, formerly of Celina, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on August 29, 2020 at 10:26 pm.
She was born August 21, 1928 in Celina to the late Denver and Mary (Baucher) Pond. She married Lloyd Bollenbacher and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2006.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Rick) Daily, Eaton, Ohio and Sharon (Mark) Frost, Columbiana, Ohio; a sister, Ruth Frysinger, Van Wert, Ohio; four grandchildren, Erica (Bradley) Harris, Peachtree City, Georgia, Ben (Kate) Maffett, Vero Beach, Florida, Alison (Robert) Hoskinson, Columbiana, Ohio and Amanda (Roger Gaskins) Frost, Columbiana, Ohio; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruby was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Wayne Pond; three sisters, Katherine Fisher, Opal Howell and Betty Whitling; two step brothers, Kenneth "Zeke" Miller and John Miller; and her step mother, Alice Pond.
Ruby was a 1946 graduate of Rockford High School in Rockford, Ohio. She retired from the Peoples Bank in Celina after many years of service. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, Ohio and Eastern Star Chapter #91 in Celina.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Rockford, Ohio.
Attendees are asked to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of COVID-19. Masks are required by Attendees at the visitation and funeral.
